The leader in veterinary practice management software, ImproMed, Inc., is proud to thank Dr. John R. Swengel at Swengel Animal Hospital for its generous $100 gift to ImproMed's "Support Our Troops" Fund. The fund was created to show support for colleague, Sergeant Tim Peters, who was called to active duty in Iraq with the Green Bay-based 890th Transportation Company in November 2004, leaving behind a wife and two small children.
Because of a press release that was picked up in the March issue of Veterinary Practice News, Swengel Animal Hospital, located in Indianapolis, IN, sent in a $100 donation. ImproMed has also received numerous inquiries from customers who are interested in contributing to this fund and anticipate the fund to grow considerably.
"Recognizing the ongoing burden in the Peters' family with Tim gone for 18 months, we wanted to help and decided to start a 'Support Our Troops' Fund," said ImproMed President Ronald Detjen. "Participants have agreed to contribute money each pay period that goes to Sergeant Tim Peters' family and is distributed to support the needs of other deployed soldiers' families.
