Oshkosh, WI (January 20, 2011) – ImproMed, Inc. is pleased to announce that Skycrest Animal Clinic of Long Grove, IL, has been chosen as the 2010 ImproMed Community Contributor of the Year Award recipient. Annually, ImproMed presents this award to a client that provides outstanding contributions to their community.
As an active member of their community, the clinic has sponsored events for a resident arts council, adopted a family during the holiday season, and extended the lives of countless animals with their donation of over 250 pounds of prescription food to the local animal shelter, Save-a-Pet, during the holiday season.
The clinic went international with their contribution efforts in 2010 with their collection of 3 boxes of supplies sent to those in need following the earthquake in Haiti, and their sponsorship of a Canine unit deployed to Afghanistan.
Dr. Susan Wilner, the clinic’s ambassador to future generations of veterinarians, frequently visits the local high school on Career Day, holds in-house field trips for students with disabilities & the Boy Scouts of America, and she donates her time to Safety Town, a program at the elementary school that educates children on the ‘Do’s and Don’t’s’ of properly handling their pets.
“Skycrest is very devoted to contributing back to our local community,” wrote Marilyn Cuevas, project manager for Skycrest Animal Clinic. “Our practice strives to provide top-notch care without ever sacrificing that ‘old fashioned vet’ feel.”
ImproMed is proud to acknowledge Skycrest Animal Clinic for all of their outstanding achievements with the 6th Annual ImproMed Community Contributor of the Year award, and has awarded the clinic with an engraved glass plaque and goodies from Accelerated Pay, in-touch Mobile, RmCards.com and ImproMed.
