The employees of ImproMed, Inc., the world leader in the development of veterinary management software, are proud to announce that they have donated $1,000 to the USO (United Service Organizations).
The check was sent to the USO out of the employee-created ImproMed "Support Our Troops" fund. The "Support Our Troops" fund was initiated in November 2004 when a fellow co-worker, Sergeant Tim Peters, was sent to Iraq leaving behind a wife and two small children. Since its commencement, the fund has grown with not only employee contributions, but with generous contributions from ImproMed customers.
"Aiding the Peters family has been a pleasure for the employees, but they knew there was more that could be done for our soldiers with the money collected over the past seven months," says Ronald Detjen, ImproMed president. "By donating this money to the USO, the employees know they're helping in some way bring comfort and happiness to other service members and their families."
