Oshkosh, WI (June 28, 2006) – ImproMed, Inc. is pleased to announce that they have become the first in the veterinary industry to support the Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) Project on their web site. This move demonstrates ImproMed's continuing commitment to the security and privacy of their web site visitors.
P3P is a privacy standard created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) that allows web sites to express their privacy practices in both human and machine readable formats. The P3P format informs the visitor on what information is collected, how the information is used, who has access to collected information and how long the information is retained. The machine-readable format of P3P offers web surfers the ability to automate the privacy settings on their web browser, giving them control over whether personal information can be collected and how it can be used.
