Oshkosh, WI (December 23, 2010) – ImproMed, Inc. is announcing the release of High Availability Clustering, the company’s first high-performance computing application for its customers.
Benefiting practices that desire no or minimal downtime in the event of a server failure, a high availability cluster is taking two or more servers (also known as nodes or blades) and making them appear as one server. Should one of those servers fail, the clustering software that manages the failover cluster will automatically move its services to a server that is still operational.
“Adopting the Cluster was a natural step for us because we utilize the Microsoft® SQL Server,” says ImproMed’s Director of Information Technology, Matthew Kempf. “With this High Availability Clustering, we’re responding to the needs of many of our customers; they can now manage multiple servers with a failover solution that meets the performance they expect from us.”
ImproMed has developed a white paper on this topic that can be found at https://www.impromed.com/support/tech_document.asp?id=2B0B2052-F86F-4805-96E5-FE707A4E68FB&name=High_Availability_Cluster_Information.pdf.
