IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDXX), in cooperation with ImproMed, Inc., announces the integration of its IDEXX Digital Radiography Systems and IDEXX-PACS™ Software with ImproMed's Infinity v4.0 practice-management software. This integration incorporates diagnostic images taken with IDEXX Digital Radiography and diagnostic information accessed directly from ImproMed Infinity Software, providing veterinary customers with a comprehensive patient record.
"This collaboration demonstrates IDEXX's commitment to open systems and to facilitating the workflow of both IDEXX and ImproMed customers," said Tim Goode, General Manager, IDEXX Digital Imaging. "IDEXX digital diagnostic images are automatically linked to the patient's electronic file, including patient history and client information, enabling clinics to move toward the increased efficiency and accuracy of a paperless medical system." IDEXX Digital Radiography Systems are now integrated with two practice-management software applications, IDEXX Cornerstone® 6.1 and ImproMed Infinity v4.0.
"ImproMed and IDEXX have teamed up again to provide Infinity users with a seamless integration to the IDEXX Digital Radiography Systems. The ease and speed in which the integration was accomplished demonstrates how well we work together to provide beneficial solutions for the veterinary industry," stated William Randolph, Vice-President, Technical Services, ImproMed, Inc.
IDEXX Digital Radiography and IDEXX-PACS™ Software allow the clinic to:
* Acquire digital images utilizing the clinic's existing x-ray machine;
* Optimize diagnostic capabilities using species-specific filters for canine, feline, equine and laboratory animals, developed by an ACVR Diplomate;
* Import and capture images using DICOM, JP2, TIFF and JPEG formats;
* Effortlessly transfer images and patient history to a telemedicine specialist for a consultation; and
* Store patient image files with automated back-up, archive and loss-less compression.
